What is breathwork 
coaching?

Dysfunctional breathing is more common than you think.

Do you experience tension in your head, neck and shoulders during the day or at the end of the day?

Do you find yourself more irritable after a period of looking at a screen or doing work?

Do you struggle with anxiety?

Poor sleep?

You might have a dysfunctional breathing pattern.

Breathwork techniques can promote healthy changes to your nervous system. This includes increased heart rate variability, which is the variation from one heartbeat to the next.

There are also psychological and behavioral  benefits, which include comfort, relaxation and alertness.

Research indicates that when one reads from a cellphone or computer screen, the number of healthy sighs are reduced compared to reading from a hardcopy like a book. Consider how much our culture now reads off of electronic devices.

Formal assessment:

*Virtual on zoom or in office

  • Walking pattern - Arm swing present or absent can be an                    indicator of abnormal breathing.

  • Sitting posture and observations

  • Blood pressure (You will need a cuff.)

  • Sitting heart rate

  • Nijmegen Score - This is a self-evaluation to indicate a score for risk for dysfunctional breathing. 

  • Online self-paced program available for clients for daily guided session and/or schedule formal breathing sessions online or in office.
