What is breathwork
coaching?
Dysfunctional breathing is more common than you think.
Do you experience tension in your head, neck and shoulders during the day or at the end of the day?
Do you find yourself more irritable after a period of looking at a screen or doing work?
Do you struggle with anxiety?
Poor sleep?
You might have a dysfunctional breathing pattern.

Breathwork techniques can promote healthy changes to your nervous system. This includes increased heart rate variability, which is the variation from one heartbeat to the next.
There are also psychological and behavioral benefits, which include comfort, relaxation and alertness.

Research indicates that when one reads from a cellphone or computer screen, the number of healthy sighs are reduced compared to reading from a hardcopy like a book. Consider how much our culture now reads off of electronic devices.

If you are interested in a formal assessment, I can do so virtually on zoom. This assessment will look at the following things:
- Walking pattern - Arm swing present or absent can be an indicator of abnormal breathing.
- Sitting posture and observations
- Blood pressure (You will need a cuff.)
- Sitting heart rate
- Nijmegen Score - This is a self-evaluation to indicate a score for risk for dysfunctional breathing.
- And several other objective measures to get baseline scores.

Once evaluation is complete, you can decide to join the online self-paced program or schedule formal breathing sessions with me.
