Learn how you can use your HSA/ FSA for funds for Pilates sessions:
How you can use your HSA/ FSA funds for pilates sessions:
1. If it qualifies as a medical expense, you can use your HSA/ FSA funds.
- To qualify, it must be prescribed by a licensed healthcare provider (such as a physician) to treat or prevent a specific medical condition (e.g., chronic low back pain, post-surgery rehab like a joint replacement or injury recovery).
2. Get a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN).
- This is a short note from your doctor stating that Pilates is needed to treat a diagnosed condition and specifying how long and how often sessions should occur.
- You can keep the LMN on file in case your HSA/FSA administrator requests proof.
